Barndo Kit Co designs complete barndominium floor plans, and can supply the materials kits needed to build them. We help you start with the right plan, understand each step of the building process, avoid beginner mistakes, and move confidently through each stage of the build.
Why does everything start with a floor plan?
Because lenders, builders, engineers, and permit offices all need a finalized plan before they can price, approve, or schedule anything. Your plan is the foundation for financing, quotes, engineering, and every step that follows.
Why do I need a finished plan to get accurate kit pricing?
Because the plan dictates everything: roof spans, wall heights, truss specs, framing layout, and materials needed. Once the plan is finalized, kit pricing becomes exact and predictable.
Will getting my plan finalized help move my build faster?
Absolutely. Your plan triggers all downstream activity. The earlier it’s done, the faster you can get quotes, permits, engineering, and scheduling locked in.
Do you only sell floor plans, or can you supply the full materials kit too?
We do both. Most people start by choosing their floor plan, then use it to get accurate quotes for the materials kit. When you’re ready, we can supply everything from the Rapid Framing System to your exterior metal, windows, doors, and more.

Do I need a plan before talking to lenders or contractors?
Yes. Without a floor plan, contractors can only guess on pricing, and lenders won’t approve financing. A plan is the foundation for real numbers and real progress.
Can I talk to someone before choosing a plan?

Can I compare companies if I don’t have a floor plan yet?
You really can’t. Without a plan, companies are pricing different assumptions. A plan gives every builder the same information so you can compare true, apples-to-apples quotes.
Do your plans work with any builder or just your kits?
Our plans work with any local builder and are designed to be simple, clear, and builder-friendly. If you choose to use our materials kit, the transition is seamless because the plan connects directly to our Rapid Framing System if you choose to use it.
Why does my build timeline depend on locking in a plan?
Your plan unlocks engineering, materials pricing, lender approvals, permits, and your builder’s schedule. Finalizing your plan early compresses your timeline and prevents stalls.

Will your plan set work for financing, contractor quotes, and permits?
Yes. Our plans are designed for all three. They include the details that lenders, builders, and inspectors look for, which speeds up approvals and cuts down on revisions. Make sure you contact your county or other local authorities to ask their requirements for getting permits. We can supply additional pages such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc, based on your county's needs. If engineering is needed, our plans can be taken to a local engineer who can provide the engineered drawings and calculations your county/city may require.
